Instagram is probably one of the most used social networks in the world with over 800 million users around the world. Since it was first introduced, the app has been growing in popularity everywhere, and now once again, it is making headlines. According to a new report out of The Wall Street Journal, Instagram would soon be putting an end to the time constraints for their video posting feature. It would seem that a new feature would allow users to post videos of upto 60 minutes in length which would be a huge change for Instagram and its users.

If true, it would put the app in the same category as YouTube and Facebook. The Wall Street Journal goes on to describe the feature which will focus on vertical video but doesn't confirm whether the 60-minute videos will feature in the main feed, Instagram Stories, or both. Currently, Instagram Stories have a limited duration of 15 seconds while main feed videos can go on for 60 seconds. As of now, nothing is confirmed and the company could just as easily put it all to rest.

With over 300 million Stories being shared daily across the world, would hour long videos really increase the popularity or cause more harm than good? We'll just have to wait and see when further news about this story reveals itself.
